In the search box on the left, just try typing into the Title or Keyword field the name of a place where your ancestors lived, or their occupation. Give it a try - you'll be amazed at what you might find!

If you've not discovered FreeBMD yet, then you're missing out! It's not fully complete yet, but www.freebmd.org.uk is a great free resource for tracking down English & Welsh Birth, Marriage & Death registrations.
The Origins Network is an on-line database publisher of genealogical records - births, deaths, marriages, wills, maps etc. - exclusively from Great Britain and Ireland.
Ancestry.co.uk has a wealth of data for UK researchers, including census data and parish records. You have to pay a subscription to access most of the data, but there are some free records there (including forms such as this Downloadable Research Calendar ), as well as a 14 Day FREE trial. They're adding new records all the time, so try typing an ancestor's name into the search box on the left.
Your Family Tree magazine is well worth a look - as well as having loads of news and great articles, it regularly includes samples of Yesterday's Names data on its cover CD! You can read all about it at www.yourfamilytreemag.co.uk.

If you want general advice on how to go about researching your family history in the UK, or want to find out more about a particular area, then GENUKI is a good place to start.
An interesting site called OneGreatFamily is well worth a look. Their site includes Genealogy Browser - a free downloadable family tree program that allows you to view, edit, and print your family tree. This program includes many unique features which are available for anyone to use. Users who pay a subscription can also collaborate with other subscribers who the site's unique family tree matching software has identified as having shared individuals in their family trees.
If you want to produce a professional looking book of all of your family history photographs, then have a look at www.myphotobook.co.uk
You can download their free software to create your book layout. And then, if you want, you can order professionally produced books of your photos from myphotobook.
If you've got any aristocratic ancestors, then the Burke's Peerage & Gentrysite is definitely worth a visit! Although you have to purchase access to the full site, there are a few free snippets available.
